Malbec

Malbec is a purple variety of grape that is used in making red wine. The grapes normally have an inky dark colour and strong tannis, and are popular as one of the six grapes permitted in the blend of Bordeaux wine. In France, plantations of Malbec are located mainly in Cahors in South West France. The grape is grown all over the world and is especially celebrated as an Argentine varietal wine.
